We had the most amazing one week stay at Cuckoostone Barn, it not only met our expectations it completely exceeded them!
The property is finished to an amazing standard, it’s cosy, comfortable, has everything you need, is scrupulously clean and it’s set in the most amazing surroundings. It’s so peaceful and the views are just beautiful, there’s outdoor seating areas for you to enjoy the birds and countryside sounds and the sunshine if you’re as lucky as we were with the weather.
It’s the perfect base to explore the Peak District, many welcoming local pubs serving good food not too far away and some lovely walks directly from the property…we will most definitely be back!
Sarah and Darren are the perfect hosts, happy to help at the drop of a hat, very close by but at the same time you don’t even know they’re there and the property offers all the privacy you need. They provide the sweetest homemade welcome goodies, which we enjoyed very much!

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. Often places are finished in a low budget way since it’s just a holiday spot. This place was finished with true care and provided us the perfect cozy space to explore the Peak District. It was very peaceful, as it’s on the outskirts of the surrounding villages and had everything we needed and some added touches that made us wish we could stay forever!

The best you will find! Boutique hotel in self catering environment… fantastic hosts with a beautiful venue! Literally everything thought of! With a fantastic app that answers all your questions and provides so much more… activities, pubs, cafes, tips and so much more! So much to do on the doorstep, if you can tear yourself away… it’s hard! And if you fancy driving it’s perfect, so many places within 20mins or so and with stunning views along the way!! You will not be disappointed and if you are, there’s something wrong with you! Highly recommend!

We had a really lovely stay at Cuckoostone Barn. Sarah was a really thoughtful host and we appreciated the welcome treats, fresh bread, milk and eggs. The space has been well thought out with everything you could need for stay away from home. The kitchen was well-equipped, plenty of wood for the log-burner and there was bubble bath aplenty. We found the guidebook really useful and managed to tear ourselves away from the barn to do one of the suggested walks. We had such a relaxing stay at the barn and are already thinking about when we can return.
