Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the FAQs we're often asked. If you have a question and the answer is not covered below please get in touch at cuckoostone@hotmail.com and we'll be happy to help.
1. What are the arrival and departure times?
In order to provide enough time to thoroughly clean and prepare the property, we kindly request for you to check in no earlier than 3pm on your day of arrival. For the same reason, we ask for you to please check out by 10am on the day of your departure.
2. What is the check in procedure?
We will leave you the key for a self check-in. The link to our digital Guide/House book will be sent prior to your arrival with directions and check-in details.

3. What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your stay for a full refund up to 6 weeks prior to your stay, after this period the full payment will be charged.

4. How many guests can you accommodate?
Maximum 2 adults and 1 infant, please see further info below on the suitability for infants.

I'm afraid not! We love animals and have our own furry companions but we don't accommodate pets at Cuckoostone Barn.

No but there are charging points nearby in Buxton.
9. Is the cottage suitable for infants?
Yes, for infants of non walking age. We provide a cot, high chair, stairgates and fireguard. For children that have started to crawl/walk, the property may not be suitable due to the following factors and ask that you make your own judgement before booking:
-
It's a one bedroom property and the bedroom has space for a cot bed only. For a child that is no longer sleeping in a cot then the property won't be suitable.
-
Cuckoostone Barn features hard floors throughout the property.
-
The staircase is wooden with two turns in the staircase and the landing is galleried.
-
There is a log burner in the lounge.
-
There is a pond in the garden. Children will need watching and supervising at all times.
